Team Raceway may sound familiar to many of you, others may only be hearing the name for the first time, but as any other team or business we have a history, ours spanning over a decade in the Karting industry.
The team is based at ‘Raceway Karting’, a Pontefract based kart circuit that can justify itself when it says it produces Race/Championship winning drivers. Their slogan reads ‘The Home of Champions’ which when you consider the calibre of talent that has come through the Raceway Karting Academy can settle any concerning questions. Andrew Hirst father of British and World Champion sons Ayrton and Luca Hirst, has taught people of all ages the skills and techniques required to be successful not only just in the UK but also in worldwide competitions. Ayrton and Luca have raced since they was as young as 7 and 10 years old, the later been Ayrton the older of the brothers, Luca the younger. The Brothers are now looking forward to working with and progressing other drivers in their own careers by inviting them to join Team Raceway and advise them with setup, kart technique and knowledge that isn’t bought but learnt through many years of racing at the National and International level of competition.
As well as expanding the team further with more drivers and a whole wealth of knowledge the team now are in the process of purchasing and selling of Karts and Karting equipment, such as; chains, sprockets, bodywork, kart chassis, oils, lubricants, trolleys and much more.
